Implantology course for Taiwanese doctors

7. August 2012

Taiwanese doctors Full-day training in the IMPLADENT system was held in July at the Research and Development Center for Dental Implantology and Tissue Regeneration LASAK. Lessons learned in the daily practice were shared with Taiwanese doctors by Dr. Volker Bonatz, Germany, and Dr. Michal Zitnansky, CZ-Jesenik.
Dr Bonatz After focusing on surgical planning of treatment, discussing proactively with the participants the proposals for the treatment of individual patients in his practice from the simplest cases, such as single tooth replacements, to the most complicated ones, involving immediate implantations and diverse augmentation techniques, the speaker was making sure to emphasize that any subsequent prosthetic treatment should also be taken into account when planning in that it has the most pronounced effect on the final esthetics of the patient’s teeth. As periodontology specialist, Dr. Zitnansky focused, making use of examples from his practice, on the need for proper prosthodontic treatment before dental implants are inserted.

Dr Zitnansky The concept of both lectures was partly a technical discussion, with both speakers complementing each other whilst consulting with the audience the ways and procedures for the treatment of similar cases from its Taiwanese experience.

The implantology training was followed by a social part of the program, a dinner served in the Dancing House, during which everyone had the opportunity to appreciate a unique view of Prague.
