Successful reception of BioniQ in Spain

4. June 2015

Gaceta Dental_logo LASAK IBERIA, our partner in the Iberian peninsula, launched our BioniQ® implant system in November 2014 in the Iberian market. “The implementation of the LASAK IBERIA project is exceeding our best expectations,” said Mr. Juan Seijo, the Commercial Director of LASAK IBERIA, in an interview for Gaceta Dental, one of the most popular Spanish dental magazines.
LASAK IBERIA decided to build its business on the high technological and scientific foundation which the LASAK company with its nearly 25-years´ history provides. LASAK IBERIA detected a lack of companies with a high medical and scientific profile in the market. This is the target market for LASAK IBERIA, a market which judges based on accurate and scientific evidence and prioritizes patients as its basic working philosophy. This means also a return to the scientific roots of implantology, when quality and service, together with cost-effectiveness, were the fundamental criteria.

LASAK IBERIA has begun a very important co-operation with the University of Santiago de Compostela. Both the Oral Surgery Department, directed by Professor Abel García García, and the Periodontics Department, directed by Professor Juan Blanco Carrión, have selected LASAK IBERIA to develop some new lines of research using LASAK´s BioniQ® implant system with its well-tested and extensively documented BIO-surface, (bioactive surface), on the market since 2000. Both departments are beginning studies related to a topic which is a major concern of the scientific odontology community, periimplantitis. The results from both studies will provide relevant information to make decisions in clinical practice.

After the successful launch in Bilbao last year, LASAK IBERIA is working on its first clinical and scientific symposium, this November, in Bilbao. The names of the speakers are already known. You can read their names and the whole interview in the pdf documents here – part 1, part 2. The text is in Spanish with an English translation.
